Congratulations to Bootstraps.co on being officially selected to join the Quicken family of companies under their Bizdom accelerator program!
Bootstraps.co has raised the maximum investment amount of $25,000 and is now positioning to garner further investment as the business gains traction.
6 months ago, Bootstraps didn’t have an official name and was a dream on paper. Today it is a realized opportunity. Congratulations, and BJLB Graphics looks forward to our continued work in the future.
Client: RepPro.co Project: Branding and Proof of Concept Site
RepPro is a very promising startup in the insurance space with a mission to innovate the insurance industry through applied technology. The insurance industry, along with the rest of the financial services industry should rejoice at this innovative SAAS (Software as a Service). As a B2B SAAS, the potential for scalability is vast; and the need for insurance agents to make their practices more efficient are a strong enough pain-point for this startup to thrive.
We traveled with them to Chicago, IL to meet with potential investors and to gain feedback. There was an overall consensus by the repeated phrase “I think you have something here”.
With soft offers on the table, they are currently recruiting for 1 more technical co-founder to flush out the team before the official launch.
BJLB Graphics will help coordinate this official launch by strategy consulting and executing designs.
Client: Bootstraps.co Project: Identity Overview
Update: Bootstraps has been received very well in the final stages of investor pitching. We are awaiting the final verdict of the accelerator we chose to work with and BJLB Graphics will be responsible for branding a vanilla start-up from the ground up that went on to secure investment.
We have worked with other companies that have gone on to receive major investment because of our work, but this project is the first project where we completely nurtured it from the ground up.
We are building a track record of creating a credible brand image for presentation purposes. Clients bring us a viable business, business plan, or just a business idea and we can help them position it in order to achieve:
Where: 1871
What: Demo Day
There were approximately 10-15 pitches and testimonials from graduating students from The Starter League’s accelerator / bootcamps, located at 1871.
There were probably 100-200 spectators who ranged from: other entrepreneurs, investors, to curious individuals.
We had the great pleasure of meeting with Neal Sales-Griffin (co-founder of The Starter League), along with CEO of Excelerate Labs, Troy Henikoff. These gentlemen provided immeasurable insight and real world validation for one of our client’s projects and we look forward to making a huge splash in our client’s respective space.
The Co-founders of The Starter League, Excelerate Labs, and even the president of 37 Signals joined forces for an amazingly well-polished demo.
It was a great experience and we hope to connect again very soon.
Some of our favorite pitches were: my-ballot.org, harpuun.com, and mountainmetrics.com
Client: Bootstraps.co Project: Brand Identity and Proof of Concept website
Bootstraps.co is a crowdfunding website targeted towards Military, Fire, and Police service men and women [MFP]. Service men and women often get the short end of the stick when it comes to budget cuts made by politicians, but bootstraps.co is designed to be a platform for helping them connect to the public and raise themselves by the bootstraps.
The project is receiving positive reception from potential partners and very relevant validation when looking at current events.
The public oftentimes rises to the occasion to help our public service men and women do their jobs, but this platform provides a scalable solution that serves a higher purpose.
Featured here is a first look at the Bootstraps company’s business cards. Spot UV on the backside gets off a very modern but professional feel and the 15pt silk lamination paper stock makes the card sturdy and less prone to bending.
There is more to come soon.
Please visit www.bootstraps.co, and engage via social media.
I wonder how many hours that chair has served to date?
This is the first post from the new studio in downtown Detroit area.
More design work will be posted soon, and more design adventures will be documented!
Heads up: BJLB and an undisclosed client will journey to Chicago in December to talk to VC’s in the area.
There is another exciting post coming soon!
Client: Nique LoveRhodes Project: Concert Banners and Projector Graphics
These snapshots were taken from The NLR Experience Release Concert last Saturday to show how the album design, promotional material, web graphics, and concert graphics all work together for a strong recognizable brand image that can easily be recalled.
Most professionals will call this a 360 campaign, where there is a unified look and strategy across all media. Having a consistent image across all media channels makes each component stronger by having a more efficient recall.
Zipcars are now in Downtown Detroit. Wayne State students (and anyone else who wants to borrow a car) will definitely benefit from this program and it only costs $25 to join.
